As a public safety 911 dispatch center, a high-stress job, it’s normal to lose and hire people regularly, so Active Directory is constantly changing. There are a lot of things happening, including different computers being added or taken off the system, new computers every three years, security connections, and just the people. There is constant change.

As a public safety entity, we seem to be a target for criminal activity. Making sure that our Active Directory is hardwired, that we don’t have any holes through which people could get in, is my largest focus in terms of security.
